Personal data protection

We operate an e-shop on the websites medianka.eu, medienka.sk

When selling goods and operating our websites, we process some personal data.

The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 concerning the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”).

I. Processing of personal data
1. Processing of personal data in the event of a purchase
If you make a purchase from us, we will process the personal data we need from you to ensure the conclusion of a contract for the provision of our goods. These are mainly billing data: name, surname, address, e-mail, telephone number.

For what reason?
We need to process personal data in order to fulfill our obligations arising from the contract – delivery of goods. Using the contact details, we will also communicate with you regarding the status of your order, or regarding complaints or your questions.

We will further process personal data to fulfill our obligations arising from generally binding legal regulations (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling complaints and others).

On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This is processing based on Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR – performance of the contract and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR – performance of the contract and Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR – compliance with the contract and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR – compliance with the contract and Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR – compliance with the contract and Article 6 (1) (d) GDPR – compliance with the contract and Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR – compliance with the contract and Article 6 (1) (f c) GDPR – fulfillment of our legal obligation.

If you do not provide us with this personal data, we will not be able to conclude a contract with you for the delivery of our goods.

How long will we process personal data?

During the delivery of the goods and then 10 years after the last delivery of the goods.

2. Newsletter (commercial communication)
If you have purchased goods from us and at the same time unchecked the option to “subscribe to the newsletter”, or filled out a separate form for subscribing to the newsletter via e-mail, we will use your e-mail address to send our marketing communications.

On what legal basis?
This is processing based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interests, which are marketing communications targeted at our customers.

How long will we process personal data?

10 years from your last purchase or 10 years from submitting the newsletter subscription form. If you no longer want to receive our marketing communications, you can unsubscribe at any time via email or contact us at: info@medienka.sk.

Who gets access to the data?
Your personal data will remain with us. However, some companies or other persons work for us who have access to your personal data because they help us with the operation of our e-shop. These are:

We process personal data only within the European Union.

III. What else should you know
We do not have a data protection officer in our company.

Our company makes decisions based on automated processing or profiling.

V. Your rights in relation to the processing of personal data
The GDPR gives you, among other things, the right to contact us and request information about what personal data we process about you, to request access to this data and have it updated or corrected, or request restriction of processing, you can request a copy of the processed personal data, request us to delete personal data in certain situations and in certain cases you have the right to their portability. It is possible to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
